When will Brightmoor be fully open?

We are currently limiting our worship center to 25% capacity for Sunday morning services, 9:00 and 11:15, and Wednesday nights, 7:00. In addition to limiting groups and classes to 25% of the room capacity to ensure appropriate social distance.

How many attendees will be allowed in the Worship Center?

At 25% of our capacity, we can achieve a 6 ft. social distancing between every household to ensure we are doing everything to keep you and your family safe.

Will the lobby be open on Sundays and Wednesdays during services?

We have moved our lobby outside, "The Lobby Lot," which will allow for connection and community while still adhering to the social distancing guidelines and capacity restrictions. Please plan to come and spend time with your Brightmoor Family before and after services outside the main entrance. Remember, the doors to the Worship Center will open 20 minutes before each service.

Is everyone required to wear a mask during services?

We ask everyone in attendance to wear masks while in the public areas and transition times of our services and events. We provide mask-only sections. We also offer mask-less seating sections for those who cannot or choose not to wear a mask during the services.

What is the plan for Kid's ministry?

We offer elementary service for grades Kindergarten - 5th grade during both services, but currently, our early childhood department, Birth thru 5 years old, is not meeting. We will continue to offer on-demand content via our website and the Brightmoor Kids Youtube page for those who continue to watch online. We invite you to bring your children to the Worship Center if you are comfortable. See the above video that gives you everything you need to know about the experience and how to get your kids involved.

What if I am at-risk or a caretaker of an individual who is?

We provide a viewing room for our Sunday morning experiences for those in the at-risk population or caring for those in the at-risk population. Now, not only do we offer 100% masked sections in our main worship center, but also a separate 100% masked viewing room for all individuals to re-engage safely. This viewing room is located in the Youth Center, our former sanctuary, and has ushers, greeters, and pastoral support for another incredible way to experience Brightmoor.

Do I need to register to attend the service?

No, with the opening of our second service, we will not require registration.

How long will the limited capacity be enforced?

We will continue with limited capacity as we watch and listen for changes in mandates. We continue to limit the capacity to ensure our congregation's health and well-being of our staff, volunteers, and communities.

What if I am not comfortable coming to a service yet?

That is okay! We know everyone has a different comfort level, so please do what you feel is best for you and your family—whether that is watching at home or joining us in person. We are one big family, no matter where we are worshipping the Lord! As your comfort level increases, we have a 100% masked viewing room in our former sanctuary and all masked sections in the worship center to allow all comfort levels to re-engage.

Will my temperatures be taken as I enter the campus?

No. However, please self-screen at home, and if you have any signs or symptoms of COVID-19, please stay home and worship with us online.

How are the facilities being cleaned and prepared for worship services?

• Hand sanitizer stations will be available at entries and exits, as well as throughout the building.

• Our services and guest interactions will be intentionally touch-free (e.g., no hugs or handshakes for now).
• Per state guidelines, there will be more space between households seated in the Worship Center.

• Extensive cleaning and disinfecting procedures will take place campus-wide before, during, and after every service.

• Masks will be available, should you forget one.
• All paper and pens have been removed from the seatbacks, and we will temporarily suspend handing out bulletins and note-taking cards before services.

What can I expect from the service?

Everything you are accustomed to in our weekend service will still be there - dynamic live worship, a great message with personal application, and friendly faces! To maintain physical distancing, our altar Prayer Ministry will temporarily take place at your seat (see next question and answer).

Can I still receive prayer at the service?

Yes, we want to pray for you! Our current plan is to have a corporate prayer at the end of service (where you will remain in your seat and stand if you have a prayer request). You can also text prayer to (248)780-7807, and we can connect with you digitally or over the phone for prayer.

Can I still give my tithe or offering at the campus?

Yes, we have installed giving boxes in the back of the Worship Center by the main entrances and exit doors to the worship center, and you can also continue to give online at www.brightmoorchurch.org/give or through the Brightmoor Christian Church App.

Will online experiences still be available?

Yes! Our online options will continue to be offered. We have an online service, kids services, as well as discipleship classes and groups. Just because you are not in the building doesn't mean you can't connect. Look for other ways to engage with our online campus during this season!

Will the campus be open for other activities during the week?

Classes and groups are beginning to meet on campus. For a full listing of those offering, see our discipleship page on our website https://www.brightmoorchurch.org/discipleship. As for events and activities, we will start again on a case-by-case basis using the most up to date information as a guide. As always, feel free to check the events pages for the most recent information on events https://www.brightmoorchurch.org/event

Will the Brightmoor Café be open?

We currently are not offering our cafe, but on Sunday mornings in our Outdoor Lobby Lot, we provide free donuts and coffee to enjoy before or after service.

Is my small group/class/bible study allowed to meet?

Groups can meet in person! Because your safety is important to us, in-person groups are limited in size. Group leaders will encourage members to follow CDC guidelines (e.g., handwashing, physical distancing, staying home if sick). Groups can also continue to meet virtually. For a full listing of groups and how they are meeting, see our Discipleship page on our website https://www.brightmoorchurch.org/discipleship

Where do I need to park?

Please park in the main church lot and utilize the Main Entrance by the Cross. Currently, Doors A, B, and C (school doors) will be closed.

Is Brightmoor Youth (6-12 grade) meeting?

Yes, our Wednesday night youth service is happening weekly at 7:00 pm, but the Middle School Sunday morning service is not meeting at this time. They are a part of our service in the worship center.

Are service times changing?

No, we will continue to have two services on Sunday mornings at 9:00 and 11:15 AM and Wednesday at 7:00 PM. Both services will continue to be live-streamed. We look forward to seeing you on Sundays and Wednesdays.
