STEP BY STEP WALKTHROUGH
Registration opens every Monday at 6 PM.
When will Brightmoor be fully open?
Right now, we are re-engaging our on-campus Sunday, July 5th with a 25% capacity and will also open our Wednesday night service on July 8th. We continue to comply with the group sizes of no more than 10 people indoors in our classes, groups, and activities. We also have several groups meeting outdoors that adhere to the size limit of 250 or less prescribed by current regulations.
How many attendees will be allowed in the Worship Center?
At 25% of our capacity, we can achieve a 6 ft. social distancing between every household to ensure we are doing everything to keep you and your family safe.
How long will the limited capacity be enforced?
We will continue with limited capacity as we watch and listen for up to date information. We will continue to limit the capacity to ensure our congregation's health and well-being of our staff, volunteers, and communities.
Will the lobby be open on Sundays and Wednesdays during services?
We have moved our lobby to the outside, "The Lobby Lot," that will allow for connection and community while still adhering to the social distancing guidelines and capacity restrictions. Please plan to come and spend time with your Brightmoor Family before and after service. Remember, the doors to the Worship Center will open 20 minutes before each service.
Do I need to register to attend the service?
Yes, we want your experience to be as smooth as possible. Registering will ensure you have a seat when you get to church and that we do not surpass the capacity of 25%. Registration will open every Mondays at 6 pm (EST). Registration does not provide reserved seating – it provides us with a count.
Registration is not necessary for Wednesday night services.
What if I am not comfortable coming to a service yet?
That is okay! We know everyone has a different level of comfort, so please do what you feel is best for you and your family—whether that is watching at home or joining us in person. We are one big family, no matter where we are worshipping the Lord!
Is everyone required to wear a mask during services?
We ask everyone in attendance to wear masks while in the public areas, and transition times of our services and events. We will provide a mask-less seating section for those who are unable or choose not to wear a mask during services. Also, once Pastor begins to speak, every section will be allowed to remove their mask if they choose to but remind you to put it back on before you leave your seat.
Will my temperatures be taken as I enter the campus?
No. However, please self-screen at home, and if you have any signs or symptoms of COVID-19, please stay home and worship with us online.
How are the facilities being cleaned and prepared for worship services?
• Hand sanitizer stations will be available at entries and exits as well as throughout the building.
• Our services and guest interactions will be intentionally touch-free (e.g., no hugs or handshakes for now).
• Per state guidelines, there will be more space between parties seated in the Worship Center.
• Extensive cleaning and disinfecting procedures will take place campus-wide before, during, and after every service.
• Masks will be available.
• All paper and pens have been removed from the seatbacks, and we will temporarily suspend handing out bulletins and note-taking cards before services.
What will the service be like?
All the things you are accustomed to in our weekend service will still be there - dynamic live worship, a great message with personal application, and friendly faces! To maintain physical distancing, our altar Prayer Ministry will temporarily take place at your seat (see next question and answer).
Can I still receive prayer at the service?
Yes, we want to pray for you! Our current plan is to have a corporate prayer at the end of service (where you will remain in your seat and stand if you have a prayer request). You can also text prayer to (248)780-7807, and we can connect with you digitally or over the phone for prayer.
Can I still give my tithe or offering at the campus?
Yes, we have installed giving boxes in the back of the Worship Center by all the entrances and exit doors, and you can also continue to give online at or through the Brightmoor Christian Church App.
What is the plan for Kid’s ministry?
At this time, we will only offer kid's ministry online, and we invite you to bring your children to the Worship Center service if you are comfortable. We will update you through the website, social media, and email when kid's ministry will begin again.
Will the online experiences still be available?
Yes! We plan to continue our same online experiences even after the building is re-opened and in-person services are offered.
Will the campus be open for other activities during the week?
Our weekday activities will begin again on a case-by-case basis using the most up to date information.
Will the Brightmoor Café be open?
It will not be open at this point in our re-engagement.
Is my small group allowed to meet?
Groups can meet in person! Because your safety is important to us, in-person groups are limited to 10 people. Group leaders will encourage members to follow CDC guidelines (e.g., handwashing, physical distancing, staying home if sick). Groups can also continue to meet virtually.
Where do I need to Park?
Please park in the main church lot and utilize the Main Entrance by the Cross. Currently Doors A, B and C (school doors) will be closed.
Is Brightmoor Youth (6-12 grade) meeting?
The Middle School Sunday morning service will not be meeting at this time, but the Wednesday night youth service will start back on July 8 at 7:00 pm.
Are service times changing?
No, we will continue to have two services at 9:00 and 11:15. Beginning on July 5, we will only have one in-person service, though at 9:00, while both services will continue to be live-streamed.
