The Best is Yet to Come: Ageless and Unstoppable!
At Brightmoor Christian Church, we want to bring together a community of individuals (age 55+) who see themselves as ageless and unstoppable in their ability to serve God and their community, all while enjoying a life full of adventure with one another.
VISION
The vision of Encore! is to be ever reaching. We believe there is nothing we cannot do as a 55+ community. Our focus is God-centered, layered with servanthood, doing life with one another, and heaped with lots of laughter and fun.
Encore! is a community of believers in various phases of life who identify with age 55+. This group accepts and includes all walks of people looking to enhance their lives through variety and an abundance of smiles and hugs.
Encore! has a community-minded heart with an eternal focus. We serve the Lord and others by seeking out ways to grow spiritually, physically, mentally, and in our relationships.
Encore! desires to find ways for each individual to make connections in our church and in our community by hosting multiple events throughout the year designed to keep you active and continually engaged with one another. These include day trips, luncheons, game nights, outings, (such as tours of Detroit), and other opportunities to connect with like-interest small groups.

Spiritual- Develop bible studies, prayer groups, and retreats designed for the 55+ community

Social- Plan dinners, travel, recreational outings, game days, movie nights, and fellowship opportunities

Service- Initiate a connection visitation ministry and a tutoring program and encourage volunteering at outreaches within our church and connected ministries

Study- Provide learning opportunities through forums, book clubs, classes, and discussion groups and develop relationships with long-term planning agencies for the understanding of finances, retirement, and healthcare for the 55+ community

Self- Promote exercise, walking groups, mental health in aging, and long-term planning
