Set in late 1941 in the weeks leading up to Pearl Harbor, I’ll Be Home for Christmas centers on a family’s journey of faith as they deal with a separation during the Christmas season brought on by impending war. The Golden Age of Radio is front and center as many 40s-era radio broadcasts are “brought to life” before our eyes when the family listens to the latest programs, USO shows, and news reports. The theme of hope is touchingly and comedically portrayed despite the fear brought on by World War II. The music features the sounds of the big band era, and it really swings!
